A Town That Already Values Efficiency

Picking materials

Closed-cell foam goes in basements and rim joists. Open-cell foam is lighter and suits roof decks or interior walls but, as the DOE notes, should not be used below ground. Blown-in insulation tops up most attics once they are sealed.
